Wild Nikoal
Nikki is a mare with lots of racing blood going back to Wild Hope. I got a very interesting scrap book when we purchased her and these were some of the headlines:

Wild Hope foaled in 1963 and went practically unnoticed until 1973-74. Up to that time, he had only 1 to 9 foals per year to represent him. Even with that small representation, in 1972 he was named "2nd Leading Sire of Race Winners in the Nation." In 1973 he earned the title "Leading Sire of Race Winners in the Nation." During that time he also sired many halter and performance winners. As his foals continued win, Wild Hope retained the title of Leading Sire of Race Winners for the years 1974,1975,1976 and 1977.
 
1974 Produced the 1st Medallion Winner "Wild Rooz" and 4 World Record Holders "Wild Flash", "Hope Straw", "Wild Cuss" and "Wild Tequila".

In 1976 his offspring continued to prove him the #1 Sire. He was named: Leading Sire with Most Wins, Leading Sire with the Most Winners, and Leading Sire with the most starters. During that year another World Record Holder appeared: "The Sting" (Nikki's Grandsire).
 
In just 4 short years, Wild Hope had produced: 27 Winners, 18 Stakes Winners or Stakes Placed, 5 World Record Holders and 15 plus halter and performance winners.
 
It was a sad day on Saturday, February 28, 1976 when Wild Hope died of electrocution. (Article attached)

Beauty
We adopted Beauty in 1999 from the BLM.  She always shined as if I had polished on her all day.

Beauty had been our most fertile mare on the farm, giving us 6 consecutive babies. First 5 colts and finally a girl in 2006  who we called Number 7, (just refering to that name as she was the 7th baby born in 2006).
Tragically we lost Beauty  in Aug 06 to acorn poisoning.
